What is Hull Moving Average – Veles Help Center

What is Hull Moving Average

Hull Moving Average, like EMA / SMA, is the average price value for a specific period.

With the help of this indicator you can understand the trend direction in the market. If the chart line is above the moving average, it means that the market is “bullish” and you can buy the asset. If it is lower, then the market is “bearish” and in this case it is preferable to sell.

The Hull Moving Average tries to minimize the lag of the traditional moving average while keeping the moving average line smooth.

This indicator uses weighted moving averages to prioritize later values and significantly reduce latency. The resulting average is more responsive and is well suited for identifying entry points.
