Answers to the most common questions asked by Veles users.

What is this platform?

Veles is a platform for creating bots that automatically trade on cryptocurrency exchanges.

  • Spot — trading the asset itself.
  • Futures — trading contracts (obligations to buy or sell an asset).

📌 For beginners, we recommend:

  • starting with spot trading,
  • or trading futures with 1x leverage (minimum risk).

What’s the minimum deposit?

Section titled “What’s the minimum deposit?”

It depends on the type of trading and the bot’s settings.

Terms:

  • Balance — the amount in your exchange trading account.
  • Bot deposit — the portion of the balance the bot uses in a trade.

Futures:

  • You can start a bot with a deposit from 1 USDT (with leverage).
  • However, you need several times more than the bot’s deposit to maintain the position on the exchange, otherwise you risk liquidation.

Spot:

  • Grid bot on low-priced coins — from 10 USDT.
  • Single-order bot — even less.
  • It’s recommended to also buy the traded coin worth 0.2% of the deposit to pay trading fees.

How much does it cost to use a bot?

  • From 0 to 50 USDT/month per trading type (spot or futures).
  • Commission = 20% of gross profit (before exchange fees).
  • If the trade is unprofitable or canceled — 0% commission.

Bonus:

  • By completing tasks in the Challenges section, you can get up to 5 USDT credited to your account balance (not withdrawable, but can be used to test a bot).

  • Maximum 50 USDT/month for spot,
  • Maximum 50 USDT/month for futures.
  • Counters reset on the 1st of each month (UTC).

How much will I earn?

It all depends on your strategy and settings.

  • Spot (medium risk) — approx. from 5% per month.
  • Futures — potentially higher returns, but with higher risk.

Important: calculate profit not from the “bot deposit” but from the total amount required for safe operation (deposit + margin).

How do I withdraw profits?

  • The bot trades with funds on the exchange — profits and losses are reflected there.
  • You deposit and withdraw funds yourself, via the exchange interface.
  • The balance in your Veles account is used for commissions and subscriptions.

What other risks are there?

The cryptocurrency sphere is full of scammers:

  • fake “Veles Support” accounts messaging you directly,
  • phone calls from “support”,
  • fake “promotions” in unofficial channels.

If in doubt — confirm in the community or write to the official email.

Why isn’t the bot entering a trade?

Section titled “Why isn’t the bot entering a trade?”

If the bot has entry conditions configured, you need to check:

  1. That all filters matched and generated a signal (use the “Calculate” and “Show signals” buttons in the bot editor),
  2. That the bot wasn’t blocked on its API binding,
  3. That the bot’s pull-up function (which cancels existing orders) couldn’t trigger.

Why did the bot open a deal it shouldn’t have?

Contact support and provide a link to the bot’s settings along with the deal ID. At the same time, verify the following:

  1. that such an entry point does not appear during signal calculation (use the “Calculate” and “Show signals” buttons in the bot editor),
  2. that no such trade appears in the backtest.

What are filters?

Section titled “What are filters?”

Filters (indicators) — conditions for entering/exiting a trade. They are calculated using formulas based on historical price data.

What % of profit should I set?

We recommend:

  • 0.5–1% per trade (quick exit and search for a new entry point).
  • Less than that — won’t cover exchange fees.
  • More than that — test it in backtests.

Do I need BNB to pay trading fees?

Section titled “Do I need BNB to pay trading fees?”

Not necessarily. BNB is Binance’s native coin and provides a discount on fees, but you can trade without it.

We recommend holding $10 worth of BNB only if you trade on Binance.

What should I do if the bot gives an error?

In the bot’s card and in the error message you’ll find:

  • an (i) button,
  • a link to a Wiki article.
